My life in Astrology
I bought my first astrology book in 1969. The opening sentence declared that the purpose of life is to “understand your soul’s purpose”. That hooked me.
A year later, I read the Autobiography of a Yogi, where Yogananda hinted at the intimate connection between astrology and spiritual practice. That really hooked me as I was beginning my meditation/yoga practice.
In 1972, I met my guru, Goswami Kriyananda - a master of both Kriya Yoga and Astrology. He taught me that “Astrology is the language of the soul” and showed me how to follow the thread of the soul - as revealed in the symbols of astrology - back to the Source of Wisdom.
Over the decades, I've also studied with masters of Western astrology including Dane Rudhyar, Ray Grasse, and Steven Forrest, and Vedic astrology masters including K.N. Rao and Marc Boney. In addition, the writings and approach of C.G. Jung is at the heart of Astrology for Awakening.
