Guided Practices
The 15-minute practice introduces the core mantra Om Namo Guru Dev Namo. This is the mantra of devotional receptivity and attunement to the presence and action of the Guru Within.
The 30-minute practice extends and deepens this attunement.
Mantra Only
The 40-minute recording is music/mantra only and introduces the full practice drawn from an ancient text The Guru Gita.
This verse is an invocation that opens the mind and heart to the multidimensional nature of the Guru principle within and all around us.
A loose translation:
The manifestation of our lifeĀ is that guru (Guru Brahma)
The immediacy of this momentĀ is that guru (Guru Vishnu)
The challenges and all theĀ deaths large and small are that guru (Devo Maheshwara).
The guru is right here - intimately presentĀ (Guru Sakshat) andĀ infinitely beyond the beyond (Param Brahma).
I make my offering (Tasmai) to the beautiful (Shri) remover of darkness; (Guru) it is to you I bowĀ in undefended gratitude (Namah).
Key Suggestions
- Listen to the mantra often.
- Let it infuse the cells of your body and petals of your mind.
- Ā Fill your environment with the rememberance of the Radiant, Generative, Presence that is always here.
